FIX THE FUTURE
Alastair Chisholm is the author of award-winning science-fiction adventures such as Orion Lost, Adam-2 and The Consequence Girl. In this interactive session he’ll be explaining why he loves sci-fi, what it tells us about fixing the world, a human superpower, and what an alien robot would think about humans…
When ALASTAIR CHISHOLM was a kid, he wanted to be a computer programmer, an author, and an astronaut. So far he’s two out of three and still hoping NASA will call soon. In the meantime, he writes picture books, chapter books about dragons, and science fiction for older kids – his picture book Inch and Grub won the Scottish BookBug Prize, and his novel Adam-2 was the Blackwell’s Children’s Book of the Year. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife and family and a cat named Maudie, who is yowling at him even though there is CLEARLY food in her bowl, and his hobbies include writing and playing games on his phone when he should be writing.
