Yeah, But What is a Poetry Book? with Simon Lamb

Join poet Simon Lamb on an inspiring, engaging and entertaining exploration into the world of poetry books. Simon will showcase some wonderful contemporary titles from a wide and diverse range of authors, demonstrating the variety and power of poetry in all its booky, bitesize goodness. Participants will then dive into multiple worlds themselves, spending time with the books, sharing their discoveries. Finally, participants will have the chance to ask Simon questions on all things poetry, concluding this warm and nourishing session.

Simon Lamb is the Carnegie-nominated author of A Passing On of Shells (Scallywag Press, 2023), his debut poetry collection, illustrated by former Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell. He lives on the west coast of Scotland, where he is the writer-in-residence at the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, Alloway, 2022–2025.
