Flash fiction is a bold and adventurous form to experiment with, and you will leave the workshop feeling emboldened to play with form, language, and style in new ways and with a broader understanding of how to tell a compelling story in just a few words. Facilitated by Alice Langley, this workshop will be a safe and supportive space, where sharing is encouraged but never demanded. There will be a range of exercises and ideas to add to your toolbox that you can continue working with after the workshop.

Alice Langley is a PhD student at the University of Glasgow, working with Louise Welsh and Zoë Strachan. She has been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Flash Fiction 2022 and 2021 and her work can be found in Not Deer Mag, Potluck Zine, and Sledgehammer Lit. She is currently editing her first novel, but her heart still lies with flash fiction.
