Literary traditions have long shared stories of the natural world as a way of making sense of our relationship with the Earth. In the current Climate Emergency this understanding becomes more pertinent, as our bonds with ecology evolve once more. In this workshop, festival Writer-in-Residence Victoria McNulty provides a whistle stop reimagining of mythological and poetic nature motifs for a modern creative writing context, and prompts participants to create some of their own. Victoria will support participants to explore different writing styles, and combine these with basic floristry techniques to create their own Story Posies. Where possible, all resources will be reusable, biodegradable and locally sourced.
