Fairy-tales and myths have been with us for centuries, with each new generation of writers bringing life to these oldest of stories. In her latest novel Other Words For Smoke, Irish writer Sarah Maria Griffin weaves witchy folklore and dark magic into a modern coming-of-age tale. Indonesian writer Intan Paramaditha’s story collection Apple + Knife uses fairy-tales to explore occupying a female body in today’s world, whilst her debut novel The Wandering is a choose-your-own-adventure story about the choices we make and those that are made for us. Join these fascinating writers in conversation with author and Guest Curator Kirsty Logan. Part of the Understories: Reclaiming the stories we think we know strand curated by Kirsty Logan
