Mystery Plotting Workshop.  Serena will introduce herself and what inspired her to become an author. She’ll discuss what makes a good mystery and the importance of red herrings, motive, settings and suspects. The children will have a chance to come up with their own mystery using the key ingredients.

Bio:  Serena Patel is the author of the Anisha, Accidental Detective series for children.   She was the winner of the Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Award for Fiction 2020 and the Crimefest Award for Children’s Crime Fiction and was shortlisted for the Blue Peter Award for Best Story 2021 and the Lollies Book Award 2021.

Bus hire costs can be reimbursed to schools who are situated more than one mile from where a library event is taking place.

We will inform you if you have been lucky on Monday 30th January.   The library will provide copies on loan of the author’s books for the teacher to use in advance, and can recommend classroom resources if available.
