Meet Beano and official βDennis & Gnasherβ artist Nigel Parkinson, as he talks about how he got into drawing comics, his new Beano book, ‘Insert Boomic titleβ and he shows us some of the secrets behind how to draw your own Beano character.
An interactive talk and workshop for all ages, followed by book signing and commissioned drawings. All materials supplied.

Draws Dennis (the Menace) and Gnasher and most other Beano and Dandy characters at some time or other for the weekly comic, the annuals, summer and winter specials and the latest βBoomicsοΏ½? books about Dennis and Beanotown. Special Beano projects such as 2021βs Royal Mail Dennis stamps and regular media stories involving Beano-styled celebrities from Rees Mogg to Little Mix, Joe Sugg to HM the Queen, have all been his work.
He was responsible for the acclaimed βHarry Hillβs Adventures in TV LandοΏ½? for The Dandy. Heβs also drawn Thunderbirds, Grange Hill, Baywatch, Stingray, Count Arthur Strong, Ace Ventura Pet Detective etc, etc over a 42-year career.
