Thirteen-year-old Ivy North is an adventurer and expert map reader who can pitch a tent in four minutes flat.
There’s just one problem.
She’s too afraid to go outside.
But when her brother is turned into a kestrel, Ivy must face her fear and enter the enchanted realm of Underfell to rescue him.

Pack your bag, bring your map and binoculars and join author Alex Mullarky as she takes you on an epic journey into her fantastical debut novel, The Sky Beneath the Stone. In this workshop we will create a collaborative map of magical places and use our senses to bring our favourite settings to life, developing ideas for our own tales of adventure!

Raised in Cumbria, she studied English Literature at the University of St Andrews, Scotland and Screenwriting at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia.
